Lt. gen. named outstanding manager

Lt. Gen. John C. Koziol has received the 2008 Eugene M. Zuckert Management Award.The award recognizes outstanding achievements by an Air Force manager in the ranks of brigadier through lieutenant general or civilian equivalents. It is named after Eugene M. Zuckert, who served as secretary of the Air Force in the early 1960s.A career intelligence officer, Koziol was honored for his work as commander of the Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency and the Joint Information Operations Warfare Command.Koziol credited the service members he commanded.”These highly talented ISR operators and information operations experts conduct extraordinary missions, and their success can be clearly attributed to their professionalism and dedication,” he said.Koziol now serves at the Pentagon as deputy undersecretary of defense for joint and coalition warfighter support, and as director of the Department of Defense Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Task Force.
