The Air Force has selected 13,518 senior airmen for promotion to staff sergeant, the Air Force Personnel Center announced Monday.
The airmen were selected from a pool of 28,510 eligible senior airmen, for a selection rate of 47.41 percent.

Officers eligible for Air Force voluntary separation pay have until the end of the month to apply.
The deadline for VSP had been extended a month, and those who leave through the program are eligible for 1½ times the normal authorized separation pay.
