Student Veterans of America has revoked the membership of its chapters at more than 40 for-profit schools in the U.S. because of the appearance that school officials, not student veterans, sought to be part of the veterans group.

Young vets’ joblessness hits 10.3 percent

The Labor Department reported Friday that the unemployment rate for Iraq- and Afghanistan-era veterans was 10.3 percent in March. That was slightly better than in March 2011 but higher than the current overall 8.2 percent national jobless rate.
