Marines face Taliban suicide bomb threat
SANGIN, Afghanistan — The Taliban has turned to targeting coalition forces and Afghan government targets with suicide and other mobile bombs, putting U.S. troops on guard against a threat that can appear virtually anywhere.
Master sergeant list to be released Thursday
The Air Force on Thursday will release the names of 5,464 airmen selected for promotion to master sergeant.
Of the 19,809 technical sergeants who were up for promotion, 27.58 percent were selected to advance, according to an Air Force news release on Tuesday. That’s down from the 33.8 percent promotion rate for fiscal 2011.
