Air Force struggles to keep Pave Hawks in air

SAN ANTONIO — It’s more difficult than ever to keep the 30-year-old Pave Hawk flying, and Air Force officials estimate only 57 percent of the combat search-and-rescue fleet will be available for missions at any given time this year.
